My 2nd birthday party

I am now TWO years old! Mormor is here to celebrate the occasion and she helped mamma and daddy organise a fantastic birthday party for me, I had lots of friends over in my garden for snacks and cake, but mostly we played in my bouncy castle!

A party is not a party without some dancing! sleeping bunnies

I introduce my baby brother OSCAR!

My baby brother has arrived! His name is Oscar and he came (rather quickly!) on 16th June 2011. He is very small and sleep most of the time but I like to cuddle and kiss him lots. I can't wait for him to grow bigger so we can play together. He is nearly one month old now so not sure how much longer I have to wait but I don't think it will be too long. I got big plans for us both!

Spain May 2011

My cousin Ben (two weeks younger than me), dad and me!

All my Spanish cousins, from top left: Olivia, Dad with me in lap, Alicia with Ben in lap, bottom from left; Lorenzo, Sholto, Theo and Roscoe. I love them loads but they get me very tired...so much fun!

Nana and Granddads gardens are beautiful and there are lots of gardeners keeping it looking pretty, I like to do  my bit and not just chillax in the pool....

Having dinner at Pacos, my favourite; Spagetti Bolognese.

Granddad, mamma, dad and me (mamma looks like she has eaten lots of cake but its my little brother growing in her tummy making her so big).

be brave and smile

Some autumn pics

a week after returning from Spain I got Christened together with my cousin Saskia and two of her cousins on her dad's side.

Harry and I having fun in my Didicar box that I got from Nana and Grandad:

In the Wandsworth common on a beautiful autumn day walking the dogs:

Mormor came to visit and brought some great outdoor clothes which allows me to splash in puddles - awesome!

Clara and Johan came to visit as well!

Finally Happy Halloween! (although it was said I looked more like a burglar...)

Ola!

In Spain on holiday at the moment at Nana and Grandad's house, enjoying the sunshine and the sea, splashing about in the pool and playing with my cousins. Life is fantastic! Being on holiday should (I heard) be relaxing but I am exhausted after all the fun activities during the day. Nana's food is delicious and she spoils me with local Andalucian black olives, yum! Like I said, being on holiday is hectic so after lunch I am going for a walk on the beach collecting stones then I will have a dip in the pool! Hasta la vista!

Mrs Daun

as promised here are a couple of pics from when Sara became Mrs Daun! Congratulations Sara and Christian - the wedding was amazing!!!

The most beautiful bride I have ever seen:

The ceremony setting was beautiful (Fridhem, south of Visby, Gotland)

First kiss as Mr & Mrs Daun:

Clara was a bridesmaid (gorgeous I may add!) and I wore my nicest pink dress (Monsoon) with a pink butterfly clip, both bought especially for the big day:

babychino - yum!

Harry and I went for a babychino (frothy milk with chocolate sprinkles) at Crumpets cafe the other day - chillaxing (mamma and Auntie Vicky came too):

I wonder what the 'Grande' babychino would look like?!

On Sunday we went swimming (daddy, mamma and I) at Latchmere Leisure Centre - it was fab! I loved it, the pool is a beach type pool so I could run around in the shallow end. Mamma and I left daddy in the pool as I was getting cold and daddy was so excited that he got to stay for the wave machine! (sorry no pics!). I hope we will go again this weekend!

Here is me at the playground last week (the evenings are getting chilly!) sporting my gorgeous Helly Hansen jacket - isn't it supercool!? (thank you great auntie Lotta in Norway!)

Whoohooo! August - what a holiday month it’s been so far!

After my day at Tofta beach in Gotland at the end of July, mamma and I flew to Angelholm in the south of Sweden to visit Mormor. She recently moved into a new house so I had to check it out and help her out with some unpacking and kitchen-cupboard re-arranging (she claimed it was all done...!). I love Mormors new house, she has a playground and swings just outside her house – fantastic!!! I was enjoying Mormors lovely new house and the swings for a couple of days before mamma and I headed back to London where daddy, Pimms and Cody picked us up at the airport.

Back in London mamma had to work whilst I was at Auntie Vicky’s house playing with Harry. Daddy went to a wedding in Hungary (Congratulations Andy and Katka!) the weekend after we got back so mamma and I chilled and spent some lovely time with Yma and her parents walking the dogs and generally having lots of fun. On the Sunday just before daddy got back I went to visit my friend Henry and the weather was so lovely his daddy Ifor filled up the pool and Henry and I went nuts going down the slide into the water – I really am a water animal and can’t get enough of it! I also did quite a few makeup classes at Gymboree which was great fun as I am now in the new walker’s class. Mamma is still only working four days a week so I have been going to classes on both Fridays and Saturdays.  I love walking! Since only a few days before my first birthday I haven’t really stopped and a few steps led to many many more and I am now nearly running around keeping mamma and daddy very busy.

Unfortunately I caught a nasty cold just a few days before we were going back to Sweden so mamma stayed at home with me whilst daddy took the second day off to look after a little ill me. Mamma took me to the doctor but it was ‘only’ a cold with temperature and luckily nothing wrong with my ears or throat – phew! I was back to my usual action packed life within a few days. Mamma says I was very brave whilst I was ill, I would like to point out also that my mouth has hardly any more room for any more fangs – this is also what has been bothering me a bit lately. Gary, Yma's daddy has kindly helped us to put some shelves up in the utility room! Mamma was beside herself and went completely mad organising the utility room (and the rest of the house). In her defence our house is a lot more organised and this is thanks to four shelves! Thanks Gary!

Mamma, daddy and I flew to Gothenburg last Saturday (14/8) to visit our cottage ‘Lilla vibble’ just outside Ulricehamn. We spent four days in the lovely ‘wilderness’. Me recovering from my cold and enjoying the fresh air and mamma relaxing whilst daddy was (in his words) slaving away in the garden (!). The weather wasn’t great so daddy was a bit lucky as he couldn’t really cut the grass or work in the garden the first few days (he likes to exaggerate!). We love the house very much but there is a lot of garden for daddy to look after. On our first night there were went for an early dinner at Julian and Wanja’s house, they have two sons; Aryan and Amish (they speak both Swedish and Persian!) who I played with for a couple of hours before bedtime – even though they are a little bit bigger than me (three and five years old) and only have dinosaurs and robots to play with I thoroughly enjoyed myself and got especially attached to some of their cars (I LOVE CARS! Daddy thinks I might become the first female F1 world champion...!). Whilst at our cottage I also got to meet Elsa, Caroline and Christian. Elsa is one month older than me (my friend Astrid’s cousin), we have never met before but I think we will become very good ‘summer-holiday’ friends. Thanks to Elsa I got to try my first cookie – OMG – why have I not tried this before!? (Apparently she has eaten these lovely yummy sugary pieces of heaven for some time). I tell you; sometimes I think mamma and daddy deprive me of only the best things in life – WHY!? For instance, why did it take so long before I got to try marinated kalamata olives (thanks to Uncle Christian and now my absolute favourite) and ice-cream (thanks to Mormor and Nana I might add!). This leads to my next obvious question...what else is out there that I haven’t tried? Please feel free to leave subtle comments for mamma and daddy so I am not left out!

After a lovely few days at our cottage we flew to Visby to attend Sara and Christians wedding – what a day! I have so been looking forward to it and it was as expected absolutely amazing! I will make sure there are some pics of Sara (the most beautiful bride I have ever seen!) and Christian from their big day here soon! We spent a few days helping out preparing for the wedding. Hmmm....me not so much helping out – mainly running around and enjoying all the attention whilst the adults were busy talking chair covers, seating plans, flowers and folding napkins. I was really enjoying the wedding ceremony which was filled with beautiful music; a trumpet solo by Magnus (morfar’s old working partner), Linda playing the piano whilst singing (‘You picked me’ by A fine frenzy) followed by a funny but beautiful medley (containing Sara’s favourite John Mayer to Christians disgust! Hehehehe) performed by Alex and Svante on guitars. After the ceremony I ate lots of home baked ‘Salta kringlor’ (pretzels) whilst I mingled with the other wedding guests. Then it was time for dinner and dance so I left the old ones to it and got home to catch my beauty sleep! Thanks to Ulla and Unni for looking after me whilst mamma and daddy was looking suitably silly on the dance floor late that night...

Please come back to read my blog soon as I promise there will be some pics uploaded .

Although mamma says we probably might not be able to update the blog as often (or not often in some cases!) as before I will do my best to keep it going for a bit longer!

Hasta La Vista Amigos!

'The sad baby' look;

The other mad look; (I am mostly like this...!)

Another pic from the beach day;

the beach

I am a real beach bum - they couldn't get me out of the water! when my lips were blue mamma put her foot down and had to drag me out, then it was actually nice to have a nice warm snuggle in my pram. At first I have to admit I wasn't to impressed with all the sand, it took a bit of getting used to (and a taste) before I started to have loads of fun! Then Mamma, Clara and Johan took turns walking with me in the water. Yesterday I took 25 steps all by myself!

I like birthdays!!!

I have had such a great birthday weekend! Yesterday loads of my friends came in the afternoon to play and they came with lots and lots of presents! Lucky me! Lukas, Henry, Scoirsa, Aobha, James, Charlie, Jack, Harry and Saskia (and little Ella in her mammas tummy) all brought their mammas and daddys and we spent the afternoon in the sun swimming (a bit crowded in my pool!). My god mummy Yma came as well together with her mummy and daddy!

Birthdays only happens once a year so now I have to wait for 363 days until the next one...

Thank you to all my family and friends for all the wonderful birthday presents and for making my first birthday so special!!!

Happy birthday to me!

Today is my birthday! I am now one year old! I woke up at 8.20am (this late wake up will probably not happen on my next birthdays from what have I heard...). Mormor was here which was a lovely birthday surprise! I played with her for a bit before I had my breakfast  and then I got to open some presents straight away. I got a drum and some Gymboree maracas and a ball! Mormor and I had a walk in the nice hot weather (clear blue sky and really hot....about 32C!), I had a couple of cat-naps in my pram as I wasn't really interested in a long morning nap after having woken up so late. Because of the hot weather I had to have a refreshing dip in my swimming pool whilst mamma and daddy put together my Trampoline! I will upload some pictures here to show you how much fun it is! I was in and out of the pool whilst playing with Mormor and my new BRIO baby walker - thanks Mormor! lots of fun, although I am very good at walking with it, today was too hot so I got in it and got mormor to push me around the kitchen - lots of fun! Then daddy cooked a bbq and we had a nice late lunch under the parasol in the garden, lovely! After lunch it was time for a siesta for me then I got up in time for some more play with my new toys. I am very much looking forward to tomorrow when lots of my friends will be coming to my birthday party! I will ensure lots of photos are uploaded! thank you Clara for the lovely book where you have printed my blog to date! Also thank you Cajsa for the lovely Lucky gold neckless! I have had so many lovely presents today and I promise to thank you all in person very soon!

Thank you everyone for all your lovely birthday wishes!!!

Enjoing mammas home made (!) fruit ice lolly in the heat!

51 weeks and three days later

I am now 74 cm tall and 9.2 kilos. I have been growing at an alarming rate some might say but don't worry it's perfectly normal! I am nearly walking and have a very strong will, I know what I want and have no patience and get very upset if I don't get it. So much has happened in 51 weeks and three days! I am saying dadadadadaddadadad and mammamaamamamama and atchoo! The choo-bit is a bit tricky but I try my hardest and everyone seems to enjoy it so it will probably be my first proper word as I try my best to copy. I also like to blow air kisses (smackers more like it!).

Early Friday morning Clara went to Barcelona to see her friends, mamma and I took it easy at home (very hot day!). We had my friend Henry and his mummy Kirsty for lunch which was lovely; it was a while ago I caught up with him so it was nice seeing him again. We enjoyed some strawberries together in the sunshine. Then we went to Gymboree in the afternoon after a couple of walks with Pimms and Cody.

On Saturday morning daddy was going to have a lie in (whilst I had my morning nap) but I had other plans so got him up early as mamma was out shopping for our lunch. Then mamma took me to Gymboree (third day in a row - how lucky am I?!). Astrid and her mamma and daddy (Cecilia and Neil) came for lunch and it was recently Astrid's birthday (she was four!) so I had a birthday present for her; a Barbie! She loves Barbie and I have to say I was quite intrigued by it too! We enjoyed daddy’s fantastic barbeque under the parasol in the garden and the adults were nattering away. Then Astrid and I had tonnes of fun playing with my toys in the kitchen. I was exhausted in the evening as I had decided against my nap in the morning and having so much fun with Astrid only allowed a short cat-nap in the afternoon.

Sunday it was Chris’s birthday so we went to our local pub and spent a couple of lovely hours in their beer garden on the grass in the shade. I played with Yma and her parents and enjoyed some chips which Yma kindly gave me. Then Clara arrived and had some lunch too (she looked like she had had a great time in Barcelona – well done her!) before we went home and I had to catch up with Clara after her adventures in Spain! Today she has been looking after me again whilst mamma and daddy worked and although the weather is still summery it wasn’t really swimming temperatures so Clara filled the pool with the plastic balls I haven’t seen in a while – brilliant!

Astrid and I in my blue chair

Got busy playing with Clara straight away as she returned from Barcelona:

Mamma came home with a 'Mr Whippy' today!

Summer

Again, so much has happened since I last updated my blog. England are out of the world-cup (buhu, but they really didn’t deserve to stay so the Germans kicked them out). Wimbledon has started (yay! But the Swede is out so now I have my toes crossed for Murray). After Michele and Howards wedding, Nana stayed for a bit before she went back to Spain and Granddad. So I enjoyed a few days at Vicky and Harry’s house whilst mamma and daddy was at work with Nana which was lovely.

Last Thursday god mummy Sara and Christian arrived! We obviously had a lot of catching up to do so we got busy straight away playing and having fun. I am so lucky to have my aunties visiting quite frequently (not enough though...!). Friday we went for a late lunch at Carluccios (see pics of my yummy lasagne below). I spent the weekend having fun and going shopping with Sara and Mamma before I had all my NCT friends over for a joint one year birthday party on Sunday. 16 adults and eight babies (including Sara and Christian) and a bbq fire (poor daddy!) later I was so exhausted I crashed into bed. On Monday mamma and daddy went to work as usual and Sara and Christian stayed at home chilling with me in the sunshine– lush! I spent most of the day getting massaged by Sara putting sun lotion on my back and a few dips in the pool when I got too hot. And man is it hot! Summer really is here and I have to sleep in my birthday suit with a fan on! They sadly left on Monday night with promise to come back soon. But on the flight they were returning to Sweden on Clara arrived! I didn’t see her until the morning as I was sleeping when she arrived but she looked after me on Tuesday and Wednesday whilst mamma and daddy was at work.

I have only in the last couple of days decided against being fed and think that I am more than capable of eating myself. I make this clear by throwing a huge tantrum; screaming, throwing my head back and generally showing my disgust (in short it is very dramatic!). The only negative with this is that it takes a lot longer to eat but I am not in a hurry and now enjoy my olives, cheese (after my main meal of course) and grisinis with Philadelphia cheese in my own time. I have also discovered houmous and avocado – yum! Then I finish off with desert, usually a yogurt and some fruit – white grapes are my favourites at the moment. I have noticed that Pimms and Cody have recently wanted to become my BFF. I can always depend on their loyalty around dinner time especially as they sit patiently awaiting some cheese from me, and I have to admit that it is fun to feed them (only when I am not hungry anymore, I have to look after number one first!). Mamma think she is so clever....she got this plastic suction thingy today (beware babies apparently these can be bought in most high street stores) that sticks my plate to the table so I can’t throw it on the floor when I am finished, little does she know that I am currently working on an invention to (probably some fancy sort of anti-magnetic tool) get rid of this boring object ruining my dinner routine. Today I went to Gymboree and it was great fun because I haven’t been there for ages! I might go again tomorrow – can’t wait! I will probably be moving up one class as I am now nearly walking! I stand up by myself and am so nearly walking, everyone is making a big do about it but I like to walk with my baby walker and am not sure when I decide to take those first steps, mamma and daddy thinks it only a matter of weeks but I like to keep them hanging!

Clara is off to Spain tomorrow to meet up with her university friends, but she has promised to be back on Sunday to look after me next week when mamma and daddy are working again. And I am having quite a busy weekend anyway with Harry and Henry for lunch tomorrow and then daddy to keep busy at home for the weekend. I also think Astrid my friend will be visiting on Saturday!

Grisinis to start, followed by Lasagna and then Strawberry Ice-cream for desert at Carluccios (I think Italian is my favourite food!), best lunch buddies; Sara and Christian. Me enjoying the summer in my pool!
