Whoohooo! August - what a holiday month it’s been so far!
After my day at Tofta beach in Gotland at the end of July, mamma and I flew to Angelholm in the south of Sweden to visit Mormor. She recently moved into a new house so I had to check it out and help her out with some unpacking and kitchen-cupboard re-arranging (she claimed it was all done...!). I love Mormors new house, she has a playground and swings just outside her house – fantastic!!! I was enjoying Mormors lovely new house and the swings for a couple of days before mamma and I headed back to London where daddy, Pimms and Cody picked us up at the airport.
Back in London mamma had to work whilst I was at Auntie Vicky’s house playing with Harry. Daddy went to a wedding in Hungary (Congratulations Andy and Katka!) the weekend after we got back so mamma and I chilled and spent some lovely time with Yma and her parents walking the dogs and generally having lots of fun. On the Sunday just before daddy got back I went to visit my friend Henry and the weather was so lovely his daddy Ifor filled up the pool and Henry and I went nuts going down the slide into the water – I really am a water animal and can’t get enough of it! I also did quite a few makeup classes at Gymboree which was great fun as I am now in the new walker’s class. Mamma is still only working four days a week so I have been going to classes on both Fridays and Saturdays. I love walking! Since only a few days before my first birthday I haven’t really stopped and a few steps led to many many more and I am now nearly running around keeping mamma and daddy very busy.
Unfortunately I caught a nasty cold just a few days before we were going back to Sweden so mamma stayed at home with me whilst daddy took the second day off to look after a little ill me. Mamma took me to the doctor but it was ‘only’ a cold with temperature and luckily nothing wrong with my ears or throat – phew! I was back to my usual action packed life within a few days. Mamma says I was very brave whilst I was ill, I would like to point out also that my mouth has hardly any more room for any more fangs – this is also what has been bothering me a bit lately. Gary, Yma's daddy has kindly helped us to put some shelves up in the utility room! Mamma was beside herself and went completely mad organising the utility room (and the rest of the house). In her defence our house is a lot more organised and this is thanks to four shelves! Thanks Gary!
Mamma, daddy and I flew to Gothenburg last Saturday (14/8) to visit our cottage ‘Lilla vibble’ just outside Ulricehamn. We spent four days in the lovely ‘wilderness’. Me recovering from my cold and enjoying the fresh air and mamma relaxing whilst daddy was (in his words) slaving away in the garden (!). The weather wasn’t great so daddy was a bit lucky as he couldn’t really cut the grass or work in the garden the first few days (he likes to exaggerate!). We love the house very much but there is a lot of garden for daddy to look after. On our first night there were went for an early dinner at Julian and Wanja’s house, they have two sons; Aryan and Amish (they speak both Swedish and Persian!) who I played with for a couple of hours before bedtime – even though they are a little bit bigger than me (three and five years old) and only have dinosaurs and robots to play with I thoroughly enjoyed myself and got especially attached to some of their cars (I LOVE CARS! Daddy thinks I might become the first female F1 world champion...!). Whilst at our cottage I also got to meet Elsa, Caroline and Christian. Elsa is one month older than me (my friend Astrid’s cousin), we have never met before but I think we will become very good ‘summer-holiday’ friends. Thanks to Elsa I got to try my first cookie – OMG – why have I not tried this before!? (Apparently she has eaten these lovely yummy sugary pieces of heaven for some time). I tell you; sometimes I think mamma and daddy deprive me of only the best things in life – WHY!? For instance, why did it take so long before I got to try marinated kalamata olives (thanks to Uncle Christian and now my absolute favourite) and ice-cream (thanks to Mormor and Nana I might add!). This leads to my next obvious question...what else is out there that I haven’t tried? Please feel free to leave subtle comments for mamma and daddy so I am not left out!
After a lovely few days at our cottage we flew to Visby to attend Sara and Christians wedding – what a day! I have so been looking forward to it and it was as expected absolutely amazing! I will make sure there are some pics of Sara (the most beautiful bride I have ever seen!) and Christian from their big day here soon! We spent a few days helping out preparing for the wedding. Hmmm....me not so much helping out – mainly running around and enjoying all the attention whilst the adults were busy talking chair covers, seating plans, flowers and folding napkins. I was really enjoying the wedding ceremony which was filled with beautiful music; a trumpet solo by Magnus (morfar’s old working partner), Linda playing the piano whilst singing (‘You picked me’ by A fine frenzy) followed by a funny but beautiful medley (containing Sara’s favourite John Mayer to Christians disgust! Hehehehe) performed by Alex and Svante on guitars. After the ceremony I ate lots of home baked ‘Salta kringlor’ (pretzels) whilst I mingled with the other wedding guests. Then it was time for dinner and dance so I left the old ones to it and got home to catch my beauty sleep! Thanks to Ulla and Unni for looking after me whilst mamma and daddy was looking suitably silly on the dance floor late that night...
Please come back to read my blog soon as I promise there will be some pics uploaded .
Although mamma says we probably might not be able to update the blog as often (or not often in some cases!) as before I will do my best to keep it going for a bit longer!
Hasta La Vista Amigos!
