Good luck mamma!

Tomorrow is mamma's big day! She is going back to work after 11 months off (she's been busy with me if you were wondering why she has had this long holiday!). I will have loads of fun with cousin Harry and auntie Vicky whilst mamma is at work.

Last week we went to Sweden for three days, a quick visit to say bye to morfar. I got to see Cajsa, Clara and Auntie Sara which was lovely. Cajsa needed her kitchen cupboards rearranged again so lucky I was there! The last night before our flight back to London on Saturday we spent at auntie Sara and Christian's house, Christian is a great cook and I got to try some black olives (yum!) and some pork chops, yummy!! Daddy, Pimms and Cody picked us up at the airport on Saturday at lunchtime then we spent the afternoon chilling at home.

Yesterday I had loads of friends over for a BBQ; James, Harry, Henry, cousin Harry and little (four week old) Honour came to play! Daddy cooked a great BBQ and the adults enjoyed the food whilst we kiddies all played (except for Honour because she slept). Yma and Chris also came so I got some god mummy cuddles and played with Chris too!

This afternoon we went to see Cousin Harry to get everything ready for the morning when Daddy drops me off. We test drove our new Twin Maclaren buggy!

Earlier today Yma and Chris popped around and I finally got to meet Yma’s mamma and daddy from Australia, I am looking forward to spending some time with them this summer as they will be here for nearly three months.

I am really enjoying standing up lots at the moment and sometimes stand all by myself (without realising...). Mamma also bought this great swimming pool for me which we fill with balls (so I can through them all out on the floor). See pics below!

kitchen and wedding bells...!

Our kitchen extension is finally done! I am so happy for all the floor space I now have to crawl around on and to explore. I had Nana around for a couple of dinners last week to show off; she has now gone back to Spain to be with Grandad and to enjoy the sunshine. I hope we will go to visit them soon. I have heard so much about this wonderful place and I can’t wait to see my cousins again. Mamma and daddy are so happy too because the kitchen is beautiful and so very functional for us all. I have my breakfast (porridge and fruit) with daddy in my new nice highchair every morning before he goes to work. I love this new routine! After breakfast I have a play on the floor exploring all my toys and climb onto everything that I can until mamma says ‘ajaj’ (which means I am not supposed to be doing what I am doing... boring! Sometimes I listen sometimes I don’t!). Then I usually have my mid-morning nap for about 45 minutes. Lunch is usually served at about 11:30 and lunch is a lengthy and very messy affair, after my pure I love to have some cheese and Organix carrot sticks, then I have dessert which is usually a yogurt. Mamma and I have been spending a couple of days at Cousin Harry’s house and I love his company. We have tonnes of fun together and I am looking forward to spending more time with him at his house when mamma and auntie Vicky goes to work. They have come up with this superclever idea whereby Harry and I spend time together at his house whilst being looked after by either Mamma or Vicky. This way I don’t have to join a nursery just yet.

We had some exciting news this week. Cousin Saskia’s parents; Auntie Michele and Howard are engaged and will be getting married on Friday 11th June. Saskia will be a ‘bridebaby’ at only eight weeks old – how exciting! I can't wait for the big day! I now have to find the perfect wedding outfit...what shall I wear!?

So much has happened since I last updated my blog. I will start where I left it...Mamma and I spent about ten days at mormors house where I had loads of fun exploring and playing. Mormor taught me where the lamp is so now I point at it whenever someone needs to find it! Clever me! Mormor gave me a lovely new cuddle bear a 'Rock Star baby' nontheless - very cool and very soft! I will take a pic and upload when I can. Because of the Volcanic ash cloud our flight to Visby was cancelled and we ended up on a travel adventure for nearly 12 hours – exciting! We started in Lund the city near Mormor where we took the train for about two hours to Nassjo, then we took another train to Hultsfred (passing Lönneberga where Emil lives!), this train journey was very relaxing for both mamma and I as I decided to catch up on some much needed sleep in my pram. In Hultsfred we went on a bus for an hour to Oskarshamn where we took the boat to Visby. I like the boat because there is a fun kids room and kids cinema where I played with other children and lots of spaces to crawl around on (train and bus not so much space) I slept for a bit in my pram before we arrived in Visby and Cajsa’s house. Morfars mamma (my ‘great farmor’) has recently been in hospital so we spent some time with her at her house helping out (me arranging her kitchen cupboards and mamma cleaning) and cuddling of course, although she wouldn’t let mamma cook for her (wise choice!) I am so happy as she is feeling much better now. It is her birthday today! (6th May) happy birthday Farmor!

At Cajsa’s house there is a lot of floorspace and lots of kitchen cupboards to explore and re-arrange too! I was eating very well and always enjoy the vanilla yogurt and raspberry puree Cajsa give me. My other favourite is cheese and usually the stronger the better! I would say I behaved immaculate and slept well (not the first night but there was so much to explore) and Cajsa have taught me how to play the piano . Even if I am very good at playing the piano I am much better at playing the drum! I would say maracas and drums are my choice of instrument! I might be a musician just like morfar when I grow up, who knows!

On daddy’s birthday (Saturday 24th April) we started our journey back to London with a short flight to Stockholm and Bromma airport in the morning (mamma call these airplanes tumble dryers because they are very noisy, small and shaky...), after a bus and train journey (I slept again!) we arrived at the international airport of Stockholm where we took a flight to Oslo, Norway. I prefer shorter flights so it was lucky we had to change in Oslo rather than taking a direct flight to London. In Oslo we had to run (mamma running carrying me as I don’t run yet!) for our next and final flight to Heathrow and Daddy!!! Yay was I happy to see him!?! My face lit up and I it was so nice to have a cuddle with daddy, since arriving back I have been keeping a close eye on him to ensure he isn’t too far away! It was especially nice to be able to arrive back on his birthday. When we got home I said hello to Pimms and Cody before we went to Brinkleys for daddy’s birthday dinner and then straight to bed!

Thank you so much my lovely family in Sweden for always making me feel so welcome and at home! I miss you all and look forward to seeing you all soon!

Must dash but promise I will write further update to get up to date very soon!
