Drama queen Moi?!
Mamma likes to think I am. Well it is the awards season after all sweetie darling! The weaning isn’t going too well (if you ask Mamma) and I have to put my foot down by showing my utter disgust. I know I pull funny faces and spit it all out and make quite a big fuss but what else am I to do?! I have tried carrot, pear, parsnip and banana (not together - she is a bad cook but not that bad!) mixed with baby rice (also disgusting!) and I have also tried it on its own. Very well, mamma has threatened that she will continue to try feeding me and maybe one day I take a liking to it. Who knows! The battle isn’t over yet! I will also be trying some baby-led weaning which I am sure Pimms and Cody will love when I am a bit older….they are so simple minded and can easily be manipulated by food (world domination is within my grasp).
I had a really lovely weekend again. On Sunday god mummy Yma and Jenny came to visit me, we took the dogs to the common for a nice walk. Jenny had knitted a beautiful hat for me, it was ages ago since I saw Jenny (she had the fireworks party in November) so it was good seeing her again.
Yesterday daddy had to go back to work again, he still isn’t over the manflu but he is feeling better which is good. Mamma and I chilled at home and took the dogs for a nice two hour walk in the common. The lake is still frozen over but the snow is all gone and we had 8 degrees so not too bad at all. Unfortunately this means very muddy dogs, mamma prefer the ice and snow as the dogs are at least kept very clean.
After our walk in the common today we went to meet a friend I have only just got to know. His name is Lukas and he is half-Swedish just like me! We went to a Gymboree class which was great fun! I think we will start to go every week because I loved it! After that we had a nap in our prams whilst mamma and Lukas mamma (Therese) chatted away in Swedish and had a coffee. Then we bought some books in a lovely children’s book shop; one titled ’No More Bottles for Bunny’ - do you think mamma is trying to tell me something?! Could she be more obvious? By the time we got home it wasn’t long before daddy got home and I had a play with him. Then I was so tired after the gym class today so I fell asleep exhausted!
God natt!
xoxo
Ps. in honour of our Swedish outing today I wore all POP (Polarn & Pyret) - top and Jeans - thanks Sara they fit me perfectly now!
mammas sign in the kitchen:
(present from daddy, he does all the cooking thankfully anyway!)
I will show you what has been bothering me!
Also, my dad is very poorly, he is in bed tucked up with the flu. Mamma tells me he has 'manflu', apparently it is when boys get the flu it mutates into manflu which is a very serious condition. Here is a clip mamma asked me to put on so that women all over can learn how to help treat the manflu. Daddy get better soon!
My Crib
Welcome to ‘Casa de Harriet’, here are some pics from my room!
I love the letters on my door!
The great 'Billy' bookcase store most of my toys and my lovely shoe collection (Pink and Beige Uggs from H&M, Gladiator sandals from GAP, Grey Converse, Red Christmas ballerinas with bow detail from H&M, and two lovely pair (grey mouse and pink bow detail both in leather) from Paris non the less! These are just to name a few in my shoe collection. Also one of my favourite toys is the puppy on top of the shelf which talks to me in Swedish!
This is my sofa bed so if you are a guest at ours you will most likely end up in my Crib (lucky you!), the lovely pillow printed cushions (mamma made) match the roman blind (mammas friend Vicky made), fabric from Peter Jones. I love my Little Miss Bad (pink) and Little Miss Sunshine pillows (Christmas present):
My favourite rabbit who sleeps with me, and some wall art (white butterfly in porcelain on my pink wall)
Some more wall art (hooks from Oliver Bonas). Dresses on display (from left): Cashmere dress (Christmas present from auntie Vicky), Black and white check dress from Paris (gift from auntie Anna) with wool cardigan (present from Nana and Granddad), Navy blue courdroy dress with pink flowers (gift from god mummy Yma from Mexico)

My favourite potion for after my bath; Dill and Lavender cream

Tuesday and a date with Harry and Henry
Today we left the house early to pick up auntie Vicky and cousin Harry, from there we went to visit a nursery that Harry and I might go to when we are a bit older. After that we went to Kirsty and Henry's house to have lunch and play, I had great fun! Harry had a nap in Henry's cot and I ate some banana. I hope I will see them very soon again!
After a 'bad' sunday night, I was a textbook baby last night, and let mamma sleep. I am also thinking of behaving tonight, after all I need my beauty sleep and it seems I only have to remind mamma once in a while who's boss.
Tomorrow I hope I will see all my NCT friends as I haven't seen them for ages.

six months on...
...and life is really good! I can't believe I am already six month old (today! Happy six months to me!), nor can mamma and daddy! Today I didn't want to sleep in because daddy was still at home when I woke up so I wanted to spend time with him. Then I watched mamma do some yoga on her wii fit board (again, she looks unbelievably funny!). I didn’t want to waste any time sleeping as daddy was at home so decided to skip my morning nap. So after lunch we took Pimms and Cody to the park and then walked to Wandsworth common and Northcote road to have a look at the sales, mamma bought me an all wool and cashmere jumpsuit (bargain!) which keeps me nice and warm on our long daily walks. After a good two hour walk we were back home, for me it was not so much hard work and I hardly noticed the cold eastern wind as I slept most of the time in mini-marge - tidy! Tried some banana when I came home and it was really yummy! I hope I get some more tomorrow.
In the evening Kirsty, Ifor and Henry came to visit! Henry is gorgeous and I like him very much! We had a good play before we went to sleep and let mamma, daddy, Kirsty and Ifor have dinner and a game of golf (on the wii).
Here are some pics from earlier this evening:
Friday!
So happy it's Friday because daddy will be with me for two whole days now! I have heard that I might get to try sweetpotatoe and banana this weekend, so will let you know if I recommend or not...
Ciao dear comrades! thanks for reading my blog!
Me, Mini-Marge and Cody in a snowy Wimbledon Common - isn't it beautiful?!
My gorgeous god mamma Sara sent me this! POP ART!!!
Today's outfit (and hair do)
Corduroys trousers: H&M
Tights: white from TU Sainsbury's
oh and yes I nearly forgot, the Afro wig I got for Christmas - likey?
Snow!
as promised snow arrived last night, although it's been snowing all morning the best snow started to arrive whilst we were in the local park with Pimms and Cody! Huge lovely snowflakes started coming down very heavily - we were out for over an hour so mini-Marge was covered by the time we got back to the house.
Had some pear pure for lunch, not bad at all actually! (mamma decided to ditch the baby rice which was a good idea!).
It just stopped snowing which is good because I hope daddy will get home ok from work and not get stranded like we did when we went to IKEA the other week.
We had planned to meet up with our NCT friends this afternoon but we decided to postpone it until next week as it's not really safe driving.
Oh and I have a confession to make...I slept in my cot at midday today for a little over an hour, and it wasn't bad at all!
A very cold Marge in front of our house this afternoon:
waiting for the snow...
Slept like a baby (!) last night until 4:30am then decided it was time to get up, although mamma and daddy needed some convincing. Then I resisted as much as I could until I had a nap in my cot (!) at lunchtime before we went to the common with Pimms and Cody. Similar weather conditions today; minus 2 but overcast, it was nice and quiet and we only met up with a few dogs that Cody played with.
On our way back home we stopped by at Danielle and James’s house for a chat and coffee. James is now walking! Apparently on New years eve he ventured from the sitting room into the kitchen all by himself! I am very impressed! I played with some of his toys (he got some really cool big trucks, and a farmhouse full of animals - great fun!).
When we got home it wasn’t long until daddy got home from work and I had a play with him, now I am snug in my cot sleeping for the night…hehehe…we’ll see!
There is promise of lots and lots of snow and I can’t wait to wake up to inspect it all, although it might mean we can’t go the common as Marge’s wheels might not be up for the snowy roads but we’ll see! Making a snowman in the local park seems like a good alternative.

Maggie!!! (my car!) thanks Clara for name suggestion:

Except for the refreshing walk in the common I have played with my Christmas presents and let mamma have a go on her Wii Fit board - she loves it! She does look very funny doing her Yoga exercise and snowboarding on it.

Ps. still don't fancy the baby rice much so mamma will mix in even more pear tomorrow.
Here is me showing off my car to Olivia, Alicia and Theo when they were here for dinner

Happy New Year everyone!
Now where were we? Oh yes…Christmas day! What a day! Whilst Mormor stayed at home and had a nap and the turkey was cooking in the oven mamma, daddy and I took Pimms and Cody to the common for a nice Christmas walk (thanks to Marge who took us there!). I think daddy is jealous of mamma and I having Marge as he clearly prefers to take her over his car everywhere we go. We got some pink furry dice for Marge for Christmas! Brilliant!
In the evening, the turkey, daddy, mamma, Mormor and I went to daddy’s childhood house in South Kensington and had dinner with everyone; Nana, Granddad, Auntie Andy, Uncle Mark, cousins Alicia, Olivia and Theo, Auntie Vicky and uncle Sam and cousin Harry, Auntie Michele and Howard. We had loads of fun and Harry and I stayed up for as long as we could then we slept for a few hours before it was time to go home. Again I got loads of Christmas presents at Nana’s; lots of lovely clothes and toys.
The following day (boxing day) mamma took Mormor to the airport, buhu! I miss her so much! Thank you for all the cuddles and the tricks we got up to Mormor, I hope I will see her very soon. In the evening the Wilkins family came for dinner (Auntie Andy, Mark and my cousins Alicia, Olivia and Theo), I had great fun playing with my cousins and showing them my new toys Santa had brought me, one of which is a car that I love!
On the 27th Nana and Granddad came to visit us and I had my usual lovely Nana cuddles and general fun. The next day we went to Winter wonderland in Hyde Park - it was wonderful, all wintery and lovely! Everyone except for mamma, Uncle Sam, Nana, Granddad, me and Harry went ice skating. It looked like a lot of fun, daddy is very good on the ice, but not as good as Auntie Vicky who used to be a British Champion on skates! She did lots of nice pirouettes and danced like a real princess on the ice! Harry must be so proud of his mummy!
On the 29th we went to Harry’s naming party, mamma is his ‘good mummy’ which she is so happy about. Mamma had to promise to take care of Harry and guide him through life using some of her wisdom - she was all teary and mushy! Auntie Carrie came down to London (from north England where the Hughes family had celebrated Christmas with H’s family) for Harry’s naming party with my other cousin Benjamin - he is only two weeks younger than me. It was lovely to meet auntie Carrie and cousin Benjamin as I have not met them before, they live in Spain with Benjamin’s three older brothers Roscoe, Sholto and Lorenzo and their dad Hereward (‘H’) and of course my auntie Carrie - their mummy. I hope I get too meet Benjamin’s brothers soon! After the naming party was over mamma and daddy took my cousins Alicia, Olivia and Theo to the Big Easy restaurant on the Kings Road which used to be my dads favourite restaurant when he grew up. I can’t wait until I am big enough to go there! I stayed with Nana and Granddad and Auntie Andy and Mark who looked after me, Harry and Benjamin. Carrie and Benjamin stayed at our house that night which was fun. The following day we went to see Harry again and said bye to Auntie Carrie and Benjamin then we took it easy in the afternoon.
On New Years eve Nana, Granddad, Auntie Andy, Mark, Alicia, Olivia and Theo had to go back to Spain so we went to say good bye and had some final cuddles - thank you all so much for making my first Christmas very special - I hope I see you all soon - maybe in Spain!
As you can tell my daddy has a big family! He has four sisters; Andy, Michele, Carrie and Vicky. Daddy is two years older than Vicky. This means that I have lots and lots of cousins which I have nearly all met now! Except for Roscoe, Sholto and Lorenzo who live in Spain I still have to meet one more who still hasn’t arrived (!) but she should be with us in a about 10 weeks from now! Then we will be four girl cousins and six boy cousins all in all - not bad!
Except for being so busy seeing family over the Christmas daddy, mamma and I have been in the common every day with Pimms and Cody, guess what - they have still not caught any squirrels…I am now seriously thinking of sending them on a hunting course because they are utterly useless, Cody only seem interested in swimming and the lake is frozen over at the moment so he can’t go which makes him a bit grumpy. Pimms is just really cold so she wears her fleece jacket most of the time, mind you I don’t blame her I am always wrapped up nicely in ‘mini-Marge’ (my pram!), snug as a bug in a rug! Mini-Marge is definitely worth a mention here as she is so great! After daddy fixed the puncture the other week she has not disappointed and always keeps me very snug and safe, mamma can go off road properly with her as she has three big wheels and although she gets really muddy going over all the bumps, ice, mud and twigs she never complains! I also sleep so well in Mini-Marge, to be honest it really is the best place for a snooze, during the day I don’t like sleeping anywhere else.
What else? Oh yes, I tried some baby rice the other day (New years eve) - can’t really complain but I much prefer the bottle or mamma for now I think, although the rice mixed with some pear wasn’t too bad - I might give it another try. Just seeing mamma and daddy making such a fuss about me and pulling funny faces and making silly noises makes it worth while - thihi!
I promise to write more frequently from now on (new years resolutions and all that!) but as you can tell there hasn’t been much time over for writing over the festive period as I have had so much fun! Christmas really was worth all the fuss and I can’t wait for Santa to come later this year! Only 355 days to go...
I will load up lots and lots of pictures from Christmas here over the next few days. Thank you Nana for taking so many photos!
xoxo
Mamma and I in Waitrose, Christmas shopping with Nana and Granddad.
Merry Christmas!
Today is Christmas day and Santa arrived last night as promised! I have spent the morning unwrapping tonnes of Christmas presents that I found in my stocking this morning - thanks Santa!
Thank you all my friends and family in Sweden for all the lovely and gorgeous Christmas presents yesterday! In Sweden they all celebrate on Christmas Eve so yesterday Mormor, I, mamma and daddy had a lovely day unwrapping lots and lots of presents also! I am so grateful for all the great presents thank you thank you thank you! In the afternoon god mummy Yma and Chris came for Swedish Christmas lunch and we opened more presents before we went to Auntie Michele’s for Shepherds dinner. There I finally got to meet some of my Spanish cousins, Alicia, Olivia and Theo which was lovely. I hope Santa made it to cousin Harry’s house also because they are all staying there. Tonight we are all going to the house where my dad was brought up in South Kensington and we will all have Christmas dinner. Daddy is cooking the turkey as I write this! The turkey is as big as me! (6.7 kilos), yesterday morning we went to the doctor and I was measured (6.7 kilos and 70 cm!).
It has been a very busy week indeed, mamma and Mormor took me on my first IKEA trip on Monday afternoon, little did we know that whilst we were shopping in IKEA there was a snowstorm going on outside so we got stuck in the car for three hours (usually it only takes about 15 minutes), but we got home safe and sound at about seven o’clock in the evening – phew! What an adventure!
I will write here very soon again and I promise to share some photos from my first Christmas which has so far been super nice! Now we need to take Pimms and Cody for a Christmas walk in the common, I hope to see some squirrels dressed as Santa’s!
Xoxo
PS. Thank you Clara for updating the look of my blog I love it!
What a lovely weekend
Yesterday was Saturday and daddy was at home, although he had to pop into town for an errand but that didn’t take long. So whilst daddy was away, Mormor, mamma and I took Pimms and Cody to the common; minus three, snow on the ground and clear blue skies, perfect conditions for a sleep in my pram – pukka! In the afternoon, mamma, daddy and I went to the shopping centre (there seem to be a lot of shopping going on prior to Santa’s arrival) and I had another sleep in my pram after some time in the BabyBjorn (from where I can see lots of things).
In the evening Nana and Granddad came for dinner! They are over from Spain to welcome Santa and to celebrate Christmas with us, just like Mormor! I am glad everyone is making a big fuss about Santa because I get to see so many of my relatives. I stayed up to greet Nana and granddad but I was so tired so I went to bed quite soon after their arrival and let them have grown up dinner together in peace. But before I went to bed I got a lovely Christmas tree bobble and a nice Stocking to hang on the Fireplace (for Santa to put presents in) - both with my name on it! I was also told that I will get to meet some of my cousins from Spain at Christmas and am very much looking forward to it!
This morning I played with Mormor and then decided to have my morning nap with mamma in bed, she was having a lie-in as she is feeling a bit poorly, think she might have a cold coming, daddy took the dogs out (they haven’t had any chocolate this weekend!) then Mormor, I and mamma went to another (!) shopping centre and had a look around.
So as you can tell, my days are filled and busy with present shopping mainly but also the occasional long walk with the dogs which I love, the fresh air is so invigorating! I also get lots of time to enjoy my jumperoo, and I also like to chew on most things as soon as I get the opportunity because this teething business is really starting to annoy me!
Cajsa have sent me some great wool socks (and a scarf!) that I wear every day under my polarbear suit and they keep me very snug and warm - thanks Cajsa!
Ciao for now my comrades! Thank you so much for reading my blog and please don’t forget to leave comments!
Xoxo
PS. This computer, although great we even have one (borrowed from my very good friend Chris) is not working very well so you must understand that if I don’t write on this blog for a while it’s not because I don’t want to!
Here is me when I am tiny (about 4 days old!):
Mormor is here!
Today was a very busy day. I woke up just after 6am, went to see mamma and had a morning snack then fell straight back to sleep again. When I woke up at about 9ish mormor was here! Apparently she arrived last night after I had gone to sleep, so I realised straight away I had some catching up to do. Mamma, mormor and I went shopping and I took the opportunity to have my morning nap in my pram – lovely! It is lovely having mormor here, she is great fun!
Arriving home and disaster had struck….Cody and Pimms had decided to inspect the Christmas tree and the presents underneath it….one pressie looked particularly interesting which was a box full of chocolates (wrapped, not knowing it was chocolate otherwise we hadn’t put it under the tree). So mamma calls the vet and they ask us to come in immediately, so off we go to Alberto the lovely vet (Pimms and Cody don’t like him much) who gives both Pimms and Cody an injection. Five minutes later they started throwing up all over the place, and feeling very sorry for themselves. Then Alberto got worried about Cody’s heart racing but he got better eventually after a couple of hours. Then Pimms wasn’t recovering from all the vomiting so she had to stay at the vet’s office on a drip until Daddy picked her up this evening, poor little Pimmsy. Now mamma, daddy and mormor have to dress up in bin bags every four hours to give Cody liquid coal which he hates… Pimms and Cody really knows how to get things going!
I am sure tomorrow will bring more adventures but I have had enough drama for one day! Tonight I stayed up quite late as mormor was here and I enjoyed playing with her so much.
Xoxo
Ps. look out for Pimms and Cody on ebay as mamma has threatened to auction them out to highest bidder, but I hope she won’t because I love having them around – they make me laugh!
Razorsharp
Two cool things happened today; I saw my first snow! Mamma and I left a very poorly daddy in bed (mamma didn’t feel sorry for him as she says it was self-inflicted- not sure what this means but daddy was out all night with his office friends celebrating Santa’s imminent arrival) this morning and took Pimms and Cody to the common for about an hour. It was nice and cool, minus one to be exact so I decided to have my morning nap as I was wrapped up very warm and snug (as a bug!) in my buggy whilst some snow fell on us – sweet!
Second thing; mamma found a little tooth coming through! I am not sure what the big fuss is about as I have known it’s been there for some time, but I have made an effort (as always) not to make a big deal about it. I have had rosy cheeks and been keen on putting everything in my mouth for the last few weeks but no temperature or ‘fussiness’ from me, oh no, I am pretty good like that (as if you didn’t know by now!). Although I have been given mamma some hints whilst eating which she doesn’t seem to like…
After our walk in the common my friends Henry and Harry (my cousin) came for lunch. Mamma, Kirsty and Auntie Vicky had some lunch and so did we. But before lunch Harry tried my ‘Jumperoo’ – and he seemed to like it! Maybe Santa will be bringing him one! Henry and his mum Kirsty played with Cody.
Christmas time
I was so tired this morning after the pyjama party so decided to have a proper sleep in. Whilst daddy started getting the house ready for Christmas, mamma and I slept which was really cosy. When I woke up he had nearly finished decorating the Christmas tree! See below picture of how beautiful it is! Oh and yesterday before we went to James’s house I got a Rainforest Jumperoo – it is so much fun and I am so happy to have one of my own which I can bounce around in and I love it love it love it!
Later today when the house was all Christmassy and lovely we took Pimms and Cody for a nice but rainy walk in the common, so now they are just snoozing in front of the fire, I think Pimms is just about medium rare by now…
Now I am waiting for the X-Factor final, we have just watched last night show and the performances were amazing! Ollie had a duet with Robbie Williams (mammas favourite), Stacey with Michael Buble and Joe with George Michael! Joe is probably my favourite to win now.
Pyjama party
Last night I was invited to my friend James’s house for a pyjama party. Whilst we slept (I got to borrow his travel cot) mamma and daddy took the opportunity to have dinner with James’s parents Danielle and Ben. They had a lovely time and I was very good (as was James) sleeping the whole evening. Thanks James for a good party and mamma and daddy says thank you to Danielle and Ben for a spoiling them with mammas favourite champagne, yummy smoked salmon and a fantastic dinner!
This is what I wore to the pyjama party:
Henry, Harriet and Harry
Yesterday morning mamma and I went to see a nursery. A nursery is a place where babies (like me!) go during the day when mamma and daddies are at work. We are going to see lots of different nurseries to ensure I really like it before I start.
After the nursery tour we went to pick up auntie Vicky and my cousin Harry and went to see Kirsty and Henry. Mamma, Vicky and Kirsty chatted as usual and drank coffee and had lunch. Henry, Harry and I had fun (although Harry was asleep for quite a bit) checking out Henry's toys. It is always so much fun trying out friends toys and I have found another favorite (my mate William has one also), it's called a ‘Skwish’ from the Manhattan toy company, I hope I get one from Santa!
This morning mamma and I had our usual shake about in the kitchen whilst daddy started getting the living room ready for the Christmas tree which he will pick up this afternoon. Although I love this song it’s only a matter of time until I won’t be allowed to listen to it as mamma thinks it’s a bit rude and, but hey the sound is groovy!!!
Oh note to self – remind daddy to put the cookies and milk on mantelpiece out of reach so Pimms and Cody don’t eat them and Santa miss out.
five months
I nearly forgot...I am five months today - happy birthday to me! Time flies when you are having fun!
I am getting a bit bored of the play mat (see below pic) so I am hoping mamma and daddy will get me a 'jumparoo' (preferably the fisher price rainforest one that I tried at my friend Marcus house). I can then be jumping about a bit as I love standing up lots.
Mamma says that I will soon start to eat proper food. At Christmas when daddy is off work and will be with us every day, I will get some baby rice to try - I hope I will like it! Until then I will continue to eat my two bottles (at 6pm and 11pm) and breast feed during the day (and don't forget that early morning snack at about 6am), I have started to wave my arms around a lot and grabbing mammas face and squeezing her skin which seems to annoy mamma a little.
This weekend daddy has promised (or threatened as mamma says) to decorate the house to prepare for Santa! This reminds me that I must get daddy to sweep the chimney!
Here is Pimms and Cody having a bath this evening (you can probably tell that they hate it!) - they rolled in something very smelly and rather nasty today (typically Cody it was after he swam!):
Here is a photo of me and William from this morning, thanks Sarah for sending!
