first week back at work
For mamma that is not me! Mamma and daddy have made such a big fuss about me not spending my days with mamma this week. Little do they know I have hardly missed them at all, I have been far too busy enjoying myself with Cousin Harry and Auntie Vicky! It has been brilliant and I have done my best to behave to ensure they like having me around, and I think I succeeded! We have been doing all sort of things like walking in the park and going to the playground where Harry and I have tried out the swings. Also had my first ride in a London cab as well as going to the one o’clock club where they have a ‘sensory room’ (funny lights and generally interesting things to explore!). Below are a few pics from my lovely week. Tomorrow mamma is at home as she is only working three days a week at the moment. The weather is supposed to be amazing tomorrow so I better get my sunscreen lotion and sunhat out! Can’t wait to jump in the pool! Ciao for now amigos! Big kiss to Harry and thank you Auntie Vicky for looking after me!
Enjoying lunch together:
Exploring a nice sparkly blanket:
Testing the swings in battersea park:
On the go...in a London cab, hectic lives means having a snack (rice cakes) when you can:
LOVING the Strawberry season (if you know of any local strawberry farmers supplying them wintertime let me know. Mamma says you can only have these yummy, red, sweet little things in the summer and she refuse to give them to me wintertime when they only come from Egypt, but surely Egypt is only south of Croydon?)
Enjoying the sensory room at the one o'clock club:
Good luck mamma!
Tomorrow is mamma's big day! She is going back to work after 11 months off (she's been busy with me if you were wondering why she has had this long holiday!). I will have loads of fun with cousin Harry and auntie Vicky whilst mamma is at work.
Last week we went to Sweden for three days, a quick visit to say bye to morfar. I got to see Cajsa, Clara and Auntie Sara which was lovely. Cajsa needed her kitchen cupboards rearranged again so lucky I was there! The last night before our flight back to London on Saturday we spent at auntie Sara and Christian's house, Christian is a great cook and I got to try some black olives (yum!) and some pork chops, yummy!! Daddy, Pimms and Cody picked us up at the airport on Saturday at lunchtime then we spent the afternoon chilling at home.
Yesterday I had loads of friends over for a BBQ; James, Harry, Henry, cousin Harry and little (four week old) Honour came to play! Daddy cooked a great BBQ and the adults enjoyed the food whilst we kiddies all played (except for Honour because she slept). Yma and Chris also came so I got some god mummy cuddles and played with Chris too!
This afternoon we went to see Cousin Harry to get everything ready for the morning when Daddy drops me off. We test drove our new Twin Maclaren buggy!
Earlier today Yma and Chris popped around and I finally got to meet Yma’s mamma and daddy from Australia, I am looking forward to spending some time with them this summer as they will be here for nearly three months.
I am really enjoying standing up lots at the moment and sometimes stand all by myself (without realising...). Mamma also bought this great swimming pool for me which we fill with balls (so I can through them all out on the floor). See pics below!
enjoying some seasonal strawberries (British of course!);
hiding in my ball pool;
Trying out Pimms and Cody's new bed - cosy! (I am jealous!);
kitchen and wedding bells...!
Our kitchen extension is finally done! I am so happy for all the floor space I now have to crawl around on and to explore. I had Nana around for a couple of dinners last week to show off; she has now gone back to Spain to be with Grandad and to enjoy the sunshine. I hope we will go to visit them soon. I have heard so much about this wonderful place and I can’t wait to see my cousins again. Mamma and daddy are so happy too because the kitchen is beautiful and so very functional for us all. I have my breakfast (porridge and fruit) with daddy in my new nice highchair every morning before he goes to work. I love this new routine! After breakfast I have a play on the floor exploring all my toys and climb onto everything that I can until mamma says ‘ajaj’ (which means I am not supposed to be doing what I am doing... boring! Sometimes I listen sometimes I don’t!). Then I usually have my mid-morning nap for about 45 minutes. Lunch is usually served at about 11:30 and lunch is a lengthy and very messy affair, after my pure I love to have some cheese and Organix carrot sticks, then I have dessert which is usually a yogurt. Mamma and I have been spending a couple of days at Cousin Harry’s house and I love his company. We have tonnes of fun together and I am looking forward to spending more time with him at his house when mamma and auntie Vicky goes to work. They have come up with this superclever idea whereby Harry and I spend time together at his house whilst being looked after by either Mamma or Vicky. This way I don’t have to join a nursery just yet.
We had some exciting news this week. Cousin Saskia’s parents; Auntie Michele and Howard are engaged and will be getting married on Friday 11th June. Saskia will be a ‘bridebaby’ at only eight weeks old – how exciting! I can't wait for the big day! I now have to find the perfect wedding outfit...what shall I wear!?

So much has happened since I last updated my blog. I will start where I left it...Mamma and I spent about ten days at mormors house where I had loads of fun exploring and playing. Mormor taught me where the lamp is so now I point at it whenever someone needs to find it! Clever me! Mormor gave me a lovely new cuddle bear a 'Rock Star baby' nontheless - very cool and very soft! I will take a pic and upload when I can. Because of the Volcanic ash cloud our flight to Visby was cancelled and we ended up on a travel adventure for nearly 12 hours – exciting! We started in Lund the city near Mormor where we took the train for about two hours to Nassjo, then we took another train to Hultsfred (passing Lönneberga where Emil lives!), this train journey was very relaxing for both mamma and I as I decided to catch up on some much needed sleep in my pram. In Hultsfred we went on a bus for an hour to Oskarshamn where we took the boat to Visby. I like the boat because there is a fun kids room and kids cinema where I played with other children and lots of spaces to crawl around on (train and bus not so much space) I slept for a bit in my pram before we arrived in Visby and Cajsa’s house. Morfars mamma (my ‘great farmor’) has recently been in hospital so we spent some time with her at her house helping out (me arranging her kitchen cupboards and mamma cleaning) and cuddling of course, although she wouldn’t let mamma cook for her (wise choice!) I am so happy as she is feeling much better now. It is her birthday today! (6th May) happy birthday Farmor!
At Cajsa’s house there is a lot of floorspace and lots of kitchen cupboards to explore and re-arrange too! I was eating very well and always enjoy the vanilla yogurt and raspberry puree Cajsa give me. My other favourite is cheese and usually the stronger the better! I would say I behaved immaculate and slept well (not the first night but there was so much to explore) and Cajsa have taught me how to play the piano . Even if I am very good at playing the piano I am much better at playing the drum! I would say maracas and drums are my choice of instrument! I might be a musician just like morfar when I grow up, who knows!
On daddy’s birthday (Saturday 24th April) we started our journey back to London with a short flight to Stockholm and Bromma airport in the morning (mamma call these airplanes tumble dryers because they are very noisy, small and shaky...), after a bus and train journey (I slept again!) we arrived at the international airport of Stockholm where we took a flight to Oslo, Norway. I prefer shorter flights so it was lucky we had to change in Oslo rather than taking a direct flight to London. In Oslo we had to run (mamma running carrying me as I don’t run yet!) for our next and final flight to Heathrow and Daddy!!! Yay was I happy to see him!?! My face lit up and I it was so nice to have a cuddle with daddy, since arriving back I have been keeping a close eye on him to ensure he isn’t too far away! It was especially nice to be able to arrive back on his birthday. When we got home I said hello to Pimms and Cody before we went to Brinkleys for daddy’s birthday dinner and then straight to bed!
Thank you so much my lovely family in Sweden for always making me feel so welcome and at home! I miss you all and look forward to seeing you all soon!
Must dash but promise I will write further update to get up to date very soon!

mormors fun house
My favourite food at the moment is lasagna followed by a tasty plum yogurt, and I also LOVE cheese which is very handy because I can eat cheese all by myself! If there isn't lasagna on the table I usually go straight for dessert, yogurt - yum!! Mamma and mormor seem to think I am a messy eater, but this is the best way to enjoy it I say! The messier the better! I love spending time with mormor she is so lovely and always full of fun and tricks! I get to jump in mormors bed every night before bedtime which is great fun.
Mamma and I are due to leave mormors house tomorrow to go to Gotland via boat (I like travelling by boat because they have a great kids room where I can move about and play!). We were meant to go on Friday but because of the volcano ash from Iceland there are no flights in Sweden at the moment. I hope they sort this out soon so I don't miss daddy's birthday on Saturday - I have such a surprise in store for him!!! He will be so happy!
Here is me in the bath last night, mormor have a super clever storage box which is great for my bath as I can sit in it all by myself as well as being quite deep so I get to splash loads! Mamma usually gets soaked - thihi!
nine months on the inside, nine months on the outside
Being in Sweden is great but I missed my friend Henry's first birthday party today, Happy birthday Henry! I hope he had a lovely day, and I am sure his mummy Kirsty arranged a fabulous birthday party for him! I am sad I missed it.
Mamma and I go on our daily walks here too and the weather has been great, nice and sunny, spring has really sprung in the south of Sweden. As you know I like to sleep whilst we are out but today mamma took me to a nearby playground and I got to try a swing! WOW that was fun! I hope we will try it again tomorrow!
lots of love to you all my friends and family!
xoxo

PS. rumour has it my cousin is on her way! yay!
three countries in less than a week...
After a great Easter weekend spent with daddy and mamma we finally got our infamous bi-fold doors got installed on Tuesday. The kitchen build is going very well and mamma and daddy can't go for a minute without talking electrical points, brushed steel dimer switches, honed granite work tops, oak wood floors bla bla bla I wish they would just get on with it. I am quite a simple girl and know what I want so I look forward to the crawling space and don't really care about polished or honed granite work tops...BORING! Before another trip to Sweden I managed to sneak in a quick meeting with cousin Harry, auntie Vicky and Michele as well as Nana and Grandad, we all met up yesterday for afternoon tea, awesome!
Mamma and I left for the airport early this morning to go to Mormor in Sweden, we flew to Copenhagen where Mormor picked us up, I was so tired as I had so much fun on the flight so I 'lost' out on my morning nap. Mormor drove us to her house over the super-long bridge between Denmark and Sweden, very exciting! I fell asleep half-way...the bridge really goes on forever! At Mormor's house I got busy straight away, lucky her I am so good at re-arranging kitchen cupboards (I've had plenty of practice in Stockholm and Gotland!), her cupboards were a mess so I had to empty them all out and start again, tomorrow I will probably fill them with some toys.
I miss daddy lots already and say dadaddaddadadda (which I usually do when I see daddy) a lot, but I will see him very soon again and then we will have lots of fun on the new kitchen floor!
Stockholm
After a good nights sleep I had some playtime this morning before we went to meet Sofia for lunch. Sofia is mammas friend from when they were very young, they went to school together. I didn't get to meet her daughters Moa and Tyra this time, but I have met them when I was little once, maybe next time I can play with them. So after a girly lunch at a great cafe, I had a snooze whilst Sara, mamma and Sofia went shopping for a bit. After that we went home and I had another opportunity to re-arrange Sara and Christians DVD and CD collection (lucky for them I enjoying this so much!). For dinner Sara's friend Erica came so they got to discuss Sara and Christian's wedding for a bit whilst I tried my new "Easter Dino" outfit, likey?
Shopping for some blues sisters glasses...

Sweden
Mamma and I flew to Sweden on Wednesday. Daddy took us to the airport in Marge and it was really sad to say good bye to him and I miss him loads. The flight was fun, although it was my bedtime and I was very tired (flight was at 9pm) I decided against sleeping as I was so excited about everything and everybody, so many new things to see and do! As the pilot parked the plane in Stockholm I fell asleep exhausted. Auntie (and god mummy) Sara welcomed us at the airport and then we headed home to hers where I fell asleep again until the morning. It is so cold here in Sweden so I am wrapped up warm in the snug down-suit my friend Max lent me. On Thursday we chilled at Sara and Christians flat and I took the opportunity to help them re-arrange their CD and DVD collection.
On Friday morning Sara, mamma and I took the boat to Visby (the town where mamma was born and grew up), I had some lunch and had a good snooze in my pram before we arrived on the island. It was great fun to meet Cajsa and Clara again! We are having a really fantastic time and I am now crawling properly, there is so much floor space here to explore, I have also helped Cajsa to re-arrange her kitchen cupboards, CD’s and DVD’s. I am very busy exploring at the moment and really enjoy moving about lots, crawling is going really well. I love looking for electrical leads so I keep everyone busy running after me. My four top teeth has broken through so they are not causing me as much trouble as before, still annoying though! I am really enjoying myself in Sweden but I do miss daddy very much and look forward to seeing him next Saturday when we are back in London. Until then I will make sure I soak up all the attention and love I get here! Clara is busy taking lots of photos of me so I will upload them here.
Hej så länge! (bye for now)
My first glasses
fangs...
Eating isn't going well and my tummy is not very well either, so I mainly stick to milk and some spelt sticks. Mamma hopes my funny tummy is related to the teething so hopefully I will be better soon!
Spring is here!
Another lovely weekend spent with daddy and mamma at home. Sunday was a big day – Mothers day! I made mamma a card with a picture of me on it and she loved it! Daddy also loved yesterday because it was the first grand prix race of the season, I was born half way through last season so I didn’t really get into it last year but this year I am very much looking forward to spending many hours on the sofa with daddy watching the cars swish round and round the track, daddy’s team is Mclaren, which is obviously my first team as well (my shopping pram is a MacLaren!).
On Friday we went into the west end and had lunch with mammas friend Cecilia and her daughter Astrid, I have met them before but was so little then. It was good to see them again! Astrid is four this summer and will start school in September, she had a very pretty pink Barbie kick-scooter that made her go very fast on the pavement as we headed towards Hamleys Toystore after some lunch at the Scandinavian Kitchen (mamma was stuffing herself with smorgasbord and sweets...!).
Saturday afternoon after a Gymboree class with both mamma and daddy I went to my god mummy Yma’s house, there I met Anna one of mamma and Yma’s friend. Anna is from the same town as mamma and they went to the same school when they grew up. I showed off my crawling moves and played with some toys at Yma’s house whilst they nattered away.
Today we left the house early again just after the builders arrived. The kitchen extension is going brilliantly; I am so excited about all the extra space I am going to get to crawl around on. Pimms and Cody are also very excited as they will think it’s their new ‘sunroom’, when they aren’t chasing squirrels or rabbits they love laying in the sun and the new kitchen with the roof velux windows and the big glass doors will suit them perfectly, they probably think we are building this all for them! The poor creatures are scared of the garden at the moment and they don’t get to chase away the fox as often as before because it is so messy and full of builders stuff. I will take some pics and upload here to show you the progress. After lunch we headed over to cousin Harry’s house, he had his nap as I arrived which gave me plenty of time to inspect his toys and pick out the best ones. When he got up we had loads of fun playing with his toys! He is six months today and although younger than me slightly bigger! He will be very good to have around as I grow up and get into trouble and I am so happy to have him as my cousin!
See you later alligators!

Building works are going really well. Mamma and I usually head out the door early in the morning with Pimms and Cody and go on all sort of adventures with Marge. I eat out and enjoy it! This afternoon we had a playdate with NCT mates which was also great fun, it was Henry, Nancy, Max and I. We played with Henry's toys whilst the mum's chatted.
Max is so sweet and is going to lend me a nice down suit for my travels to Sweden next week. We haven't decided exactly when yet but we think the builders are keen to get working indoors soon so we must leave them to get on with it and enjoy family and friends in Sweden.
big kiss to you all!
Girlpower!
Today is International Womens day! (the 99th one!) happy international womens day to all you rocking girls out there! WE ROCK! Mamma told me today that we are very lucky to be born in this age, not too long ago girls and women didn't (and still don't in some parts of the world) have the same rights as boys. Many women has fought hard for us to be equal - thank you!
Welcome builders!
Today is day one of our big kitchen build! I am very excited (probably not as excited as mamma and daddy...they are beside themselves!). The builders arrived early (ok...I wasn’t awake to greet them, not even Pimms’s barking gets me up that early) and daddy was up bright and early to welcome them. Mamma and I got up around 9ish and said hello to Daniel and Jerry, they didn’t seem to need our help so we left them to get on with demolishing the garden (I have watched some 'Bob the builder' prior to their arrival! But I don’t seem to be fully qualified yet). We took Pimms and Cody to the common before we met up with my mate Lukas and his mamma Therese in Wandsworth common cafe for an ‘Amanda Action kids’ class. Both Lukas and I enjoyed it, some songs, some dancing and some bubbles (quite similar to Gymboree but not as good!). Then we had some lunch, mamma and Therese ordered theirs off a menu whilst Lukas and I had some packed lunch (same stuff!), although I am not a very good eater I managed a few mouthfuls before my milk (still favourite!). Lukas is a very good eater and mamma thinks and hopes he will inspire me. He even gave me one of his cookies (plum spelt stick) which was yummy! What a gentleman he is! He really is sweet and I enjoy his company a lot! Tomorrow I am going to his house (Swedish mamma group meeting)! Yay! After lunch Lukas and I enjoyed a nap in our prams whilst we took Pimms and Cody around Wandsworth common. Then we wizzed off to Auntie Vicky’s house to play with my cousin Harry – he is so cool and we had tonnes of fun as always. As you can tell I have had a great day with lots of play so by the time we got home (after yet another snooze whilst Pimms and Cody went squirrel hunting in Wimbledon) I was exhausted! Had a nice long soak and hit the sack after a play with daddy. Btw - Idont' need mamma to rock me to sleep any longer nor do I fall asleep whilst drinking my valling, I am still awake when mamma puts me in my cot and I go to sleep all by myself! (might need to remind her who's boss soon though).
Here are some pics from today’s outing with Lukas – thanks Therese for sending! Lukas is the handsome guy in red/white stripe t-shirt - he is so cute!

Sunshine!
Anyhow, today mamma got back into her fitness routine again (she has had a cold) so whilst I had my morning nap at 10 (I know!!! so good of me to sleep in my cot!) mamma did the '30-day shred' - I usually like to watch her as she makes me laugh but there are only so many jumping jacks I can watch her do...BORING! At 11 we met up with my friend Lukas and his mamma Therese in Wimbledon common, we had a lovely (and muddy!) walk/nap in the beautiful sunshine. The weather has lately been so awful so it was nice to see the sun for a change! Then Lukas and I had some lunch outdoors at the windmill cafe (mamma and Therese too) and then a play before we headed out again to chase some squirrels (none got caught obviously). When we got home in the afternoon Yma came for a flying tea visit and then James my friend came to play and brought along his mum Danielle so mamma had someone to natter with.
What a lovely day I have had! I hope the sun is there to stay because it is so nice when it shines on me and warms my face!
Tomorrow is Gymboree day! yay!
xoxo
PS. our kitchen build is starting next week! So mamma thinks we might go to Sweden mid-March - Beware Sweden here I come!!!
When mormor was here she showed me a really good game whereby I empty the toybox and hide in it and I love it! (also I am doing mamma a favour because she seems to enjoy putting all the toys in the box!)
Here is an old photo of me and my cousin Harry in our Bearsuits (December 09):
Saturday
Woke up late, had some nice quality time with daddy this morning whilst mamma slept before I took him to a Gymboree class at midday. I had a make up class to do since I was ill and daddy seemed to enjoy it almost as much as me. William from my normal Tuesday class was also there as he had a make up class to do too. Today was a really small class, it was me, William and a another boy called Max that I have never met before. As we were just getting started with the warm up, the lovely lady Becky (same lady who teach the Tuesday class!) just started singing as William leaned over and gave me a big kiss! He isn't shy at all! I don't think daddy was too impressed...!
In the afternoon after a nice walk with Pimms and Cody in the common (whilst I slept in mini-Marge) we went to have lunch out, mamma and daddy ordered their food off a menu whilst I enjoyed Ella's kitchen; Butternut Squash, Blueberry, apple and pumpkin, followed by Mango-brekkie for dessert - yummy! When we arrived home we chilled out and I enjoyed my Jumperoo for a bit as Ifor visited (Ifor is Henry's dad and my daddy's best friend).
I will let you know how my evening goes but so far I am having so much fun staying up so I better go before mamma gets me into bed (she thinks I am 'overtired' whatever that means?)!
xoxo
Here is my 'crazy' look (earlier today):
